Community Outreach Meetings

Community Outreach Meeting - The Montana Solar Community Project held eight community outreach meetings across Montana in September and October 2017. The meetings were held in:

  • Malta
  • Great Falls
  • Miles City
  • Billings
  • Missoula
  • Butte
  • Bozeman
  • Polson

More than 130 attendees showed up for the eight meetings to hear MSCP partners discuss community-scale solar opportunities for Montana and to share their own visions for how they would like to see solar integrated into their communities in the future. Input from attendees will be incorporated into MSCP's future activities and will help guide the Solar Menu of Options report MSCP is currently preparing to help walk communities through the processes of planning, building support for, funding, and developing solar energy projects. A summary of the meetings' findings is available here and the presentation used by the Montana Energy Office is available here.
